Junior Championship
The Junior Championships are all about building confidence and sportsmanship in a safe, encouraging environment. During competition season, we ensure our younger practitioners are prepared to their absolute best and encourage them to participate in these local tournaments, introducing them to the excitement of Kendo matches.

State Championship
As an officially affiliated club, DHMDK is an active participant in New South Wales Kendo Association (NSWKA) events. We regularly field strong teams and individual competitors for the NSW State Championships and local club tournaments.

National Championship
For our elite practitioners, the Australian Kendo Championships (AKC) represent the pinnacle of domestic competition. DHMDK has a proud history of nurturing athletes who successfully try out for and represent the
New South Wales State Team at Nationals.

International Championship
The ultimate dream for many dedicated martial artists is the Asia Oceania Kendo Championships (AOKC) and the World Kendo Championships (WKC), each being held every three years. DHMDK is deeply committed to supporting elite members who harbor ambitions of making the national squad to represent Australia on the global stage.

Competitions
At DHMDK, competition (Shiai) is highly valued as a powerful tool for personal growth.
Stepping onto the shiai court tests your technique, sharpens your decision-making under pressure, and builds deep mental resilience.
We proudly support our members across four distinct competitive tiers, ensuring everyone from our youngest martial artists to our older elites can challenge themselves and represent DHMDK.
